The world is divided into two types of people...

Here’s something to think about.

The world is divided into two types of people. The realists and the fantasists. The fantasists believe in miracles. Their kind is as old as the hills. They think there is a magical key that unlocks success. I see it in marketing people all the time. Some think a set of initials or strategy like “CRM” is all they need.

I see it in would-be entrepreneurs all the time. They too think some formula and a few weeks’ study will miraculously coin money. The realists are different. They know good things rarely come easily. That you only succeed the old-fashioned way, by knowing more and applying it.

Are you a realist? Then this site, and all it contains, was created for you.

Over the years I have employed and advised more people than I can remember. But I do remember how many of them have gone on to succeed thanks to the kind of advice you will find here. Many run large international companies. Quite a few own them.

There is a wealth of advice, examples, answers to questions and videos here that will make a lasting difference to your sales, your marketing and your career. Be my guest.

Here is what I want you to do:

P.S. Too busy? Can't spare the time? You are not alone.

Yet strangely enough, people can always find days, weeks, months and sometimes years to do things again – and again - after they get them wrong … but not the few hours it takes to find out how to do them right in the first place.

Quite simply marketers spend their entire lives reinventing the wheel.

The idea behind Commonsense Marketing is to make sure you don’t have to. As a very successful French lawyer once said to me, “I work now so as not to have to work later.”

I will go so far as to say that every hour spent now will save you those wasted days, weeks, months and even years in future – not to mention the money you won’t waste and the extra profit you will make.

To give you one example, Prof. Srikumar Rao once asked Joe Sugarman how much he had lost by NOT having read a couple of paragraphs in one of my books earlier. “Half a million dollars, at least” said Joe.
